afternoon in the lakás

I spent the afternoon curled up looking at "my view" a tiny portion of Andrássy Avenue, viewable if you placed your chair completely against the window and propped your feet up against the window sill.  The crossword puzzle took little time, in fact too little time, as I was hoping to struggle a little and of course then succeed but todays offered little resistance.  I read the paper and thought about little looking at the clear sky with sounds of traffic down below.  I mused on being here of all places, I mean what were the chances of running into El ole' kapitány.  I laughed at myself for not talking to him and reminding him of who I was.  I've changed I thought--he might really not have recognized me and lit a cigarette.  I decided to go down to the cafe just down on the ground floor to see if Ákos was working and anyway it was a hot afternoon and an espresso would help fight off the onslaught of drowsiness that was overcoming me. I needed to correct some papers and get some work done and I hoped the espresso would help.  I decided if I finished half of my work I could go out dancing later at Bar Instant.  Maybe I could find someone to go with me.  If not, after 11 it would be easy enough to slip in unnoticed get a drink and just dance.
