We'd planned to drive up to Point Reyes, but it was a spare the air day, so we figured we'd just do a city walk. Starting from home, up the hill and over to Glen Canyon along Islais Creek and then up to Twin Peaks, then a steep and dusty small trail which took us back to city streets.
We'd never been to Glen Canyon, said to be one of the least utilized parks in SF. Pretty sweet - some nice views of a Raven tormenting a Red-Tailed Hawk. We didn't end up going all the way to the main entrance, but went down sooner to the trail along the creek. We're not used to seeing ferns and rushes with willows overhead - most places here in the city are too dry.
It turns out that we'd never been up to Twin Peaks either! Nice views - we threaded our way through the tourists, and down the hill.
