Long walk in the fog & wind : Drakes Estero

We had a lovely walk through the forest across Drakes Lagoon up up and over the hillsides, through the pastures and out on a wind blown bluff to have a view of the world. Highly recommended. It's not hard but there and back about 12-14 miles (we took a little detour and had to retrace our steps)

U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey metal survey marker from 1930
If you go all the way out to what feels like the end of the world. You will find this marker which is a great prize. This is the turn around point.
