Maine Event: Day 57

Today was a super busy day working early and late trying to get women's health applications live. Hopefully, this will happen tomorrow. We snuck in a couple of little walks at the beginning of the day and at the end. We are currently cooking dinner and so this will be short and sweet.

It was quite warm today here for what is expected in October and I saw a news article that said basically east of the Rockies are warmer than usual this year and west is slightly cooler. Our high was 72° and our low 52°. We have a couple more days of this warm weather and then it will be rainy on the weekend and cooler next week. I'm definitely ready for cooler weather. It just doesn't feel right for it to feel hot in October. I guess that is the Colorado part of me speaking - In Paonia, where I grew up, today the high was 52° and the low was 36°. That's more like October to me. They are also expecting snow on Thursday (I'm only a little jealous).

I've been falling in love with MOFGA (Maine's Organic Farmers and Gardeners Association) which has an amazing site with many resources. Check out the categories on the right

Tonight is the start of my cooking class. I'm looking forward to learning.

This tree grows in our little park we frequent and is the only white swamp oak that we have positively identified around here. The leaves are quite different from the white oak or the red oak or any others.
