ME II: 13 days left
It is astounding that the time is almost up here. It has a dizzying effect. It was another gorgeous sunny day with crisp cool air, and light breezes. We had a low of 37° and a high of 58°. Today was another busy day. We had an early lunch as our apartment was getting an inspection and our landlords were taking the AC out of the windows and such things. We took the opportunity to go get our mail and had lunch at Nura. That was a lovely interlude. Work was busy and I was a little out of it as I didn't sleep well last night. I keep thinking about climate change and how fast things seem to be moving and how slow systems change. Portland is an average of 2.3° warmer than it was in 1970. This article also talks about how Portland is a heat island and that it has low tree coverage which feels comical to me as it has so many more trees than anywhere out West. The City of Portland has a great strategic plan on what change it thinks is important around climate change. This is the SF equivalent (PDF). Less convincing. NBC reports that on average SF is 2.9° warmer than in 1970!

Have a frisky night!
Sending love, Tawnia
