ME III: sun and breezes

Today was a glorious day with blue skies, beautiful clouds, and low humidity. It was another long work day with meetings and website work filling every available brain cell. We made lentil soup and had to turn off the stove to run to the Western Prom for the sunset. It was remarkably nice weather today while there are alerts on our weather saying there is a hurricane and/or tropical storm warnings. Right now there are both. It's rather exciting. Here is the tracker in the NYT if you haven't seen it Henri by contrast in 2021 arrived in Rhode Island as a tropical storm and we had fantastic fluffy rain and wind. It felt like wild and happy weather.

Just a few things to get ready "just in case". Nothing too much. Our landlord said that on the outer side of the islands, they are expecting 20' waves. Inside Casco Bay, there is not as much to worry about. They just lowered the sails and made everything as secure as possible.
