ME III: Rainy day
We had this idea if the storm stayed on track that we would have several hours of daytime when it wasn't raining. The thought was that we would go on a nice walk to Jewell Falls on the Fore River Sanctuary. It's a place we have thought of going to before but always run out of time (this year esp because work has been a grind). However, we woke up to rain and when it stopped it only seemed like it would be for a couple of hours so we opted for a quiet day at home. During the break in the rain, we managed to run to the store for a few things and go for a walk in the Western Cemetery to look for birds. This weekend Matt made a huge amount of progress on the HealthWiki redesign work and I've been cooking and starting to think about the process to wrap up to head home. It is amazing to realize that there is only one weekend left. In addition to that the winter holidays are right around the corner.
I've been thinking about nutrition and food (regular preoccupation) and also about space. Specifically, the James Webb Telescope has been creeping steadily more into my awareness. It really has the capacity to cause us to think differently, especially in science, but science affects philosophy and everyday life. It is bound to change how we think about space and even time. Here is a video of something trying to get at the science changes this might open up. Anyway, it fits in with all kinds of things around human perception of space and time. Fun stuff. One more, here is the PBS version.

Nice to have a quiet recharge day with rain.
Sending love, Tawnia
