The islands were hit hard by big storms that took out the sea wall and ripped up the road. It's still in a bit of disarray. The people of Maine are particularly resilient and have a strong sense of communityThe moon and Venus and what a sunset! The islands also have better sunsetsFound this on a street near where we are staying. Just remember it was only 100 or so years ago that women got the right to vote and now we have a woman of color running for president. Hallelujah! Let's do this!DEMOCRACY IS ON THE BALLOT VOTE on a lovely old house. Farmer's Market is as lively and wonderful as ever. It seems like the prices have gone down somewhat. Maybe only a little and on some products but on some things. Eggs are about half the price of what they are at the Farmer's Market in the Bay Area.
This has been a whacky entry week. For part of it, it felt like we were upside down and just now getting our feet under us. This smorgasbord of a blog will mean that tomorrow and throughout the week, the posts will be shorter and about that day.
