Day 16: ME IV

Today was usual except I got up early to run some errands. One of the benefits of this place is that most places open between 7am and 8:30, which means you can do most errands before the work day starts. Anyway, one of those errands was going to Harbor Fish for some sustainably caught Swordfish. If you eat Swordfish and can get sustainably caught I highly recommend this NYT recipe. It's simple and delicious. I add capers and olives when I have them. Also sautéeing thinly sliced fennel bulb in the pan before adding fish (from one of the top comments) adds a nice touch.

Pearl Street leads all the way down to the water where Harbor Fish lives on the pier
Congress Square
A view of the actual plaza part of the square.
High Street, we live just beyond the wall in the brick building at the end
Longfellow Square, more on this square maybe tomorrow.
Interesting double door pineapple theme!
Altair and Vega barely visible in the photo
Designed glassed in sheltered porch
Nice leaded glass in the doors - this is the same building with the lovely tile work.

Have an interesting night.

Sending oodles of love,

Tawnia

9 species of bird. Tawnia spotted a chipping sparrow, and early out the window I saw an osprey carrying a nice jucy fish (probably not a swordfish):

1 Rock Pigeon
1 Mourning Dove
1 Herring Gull
1 Osprey
1 Cooper's Hawk
1 Blue Jay
1 American Crow
1 House Sparrow
1 Chipping Sparrow
