Glenwood Springs, CO (5,761 ft/1,756 m above sea level), sits where the Roaring Fork and Colorado rivers meet. It is famous for its hot springs, including the Glenwood Hot Springs Pool, Iron Mountain Hot Springs, Yampah Spa, and Vapor Caves. Nearby are skiing areas, so there is something for people who love the cold and the hot.

Moffat Tunnel. It is 6.2 miles long. The elevation in the tunnel is 9,130 ft and that is the low point. Amazing to think you are inside of a mountain for what seems like a looooong time. The conductor loves him some Moffat Tunnel read more here.
