Robin de Puy
One of the amazing photographers that I greatly admire is Robin de Puy.
I learned of Robin de Puy from this article in the British Journal of Photography
Here is more on Randy on her website. And here is a Guardian article about the twins of Indiana
I find her art site difficult to navigate. But here it is: https://robin-de-puy-american.wetransfer.com/ First, click on "Meet the Americans" and then in the upper right-hand click on Index, then choose. Scrolling down is how you navigate between.
Here are a couple of selections that I find delightful:
- Take a look at Pretty Close to a Million. (This is the America I love.)
- Emily is great too!
Note to self, she uses a medium-format camera, and the skin on the people is almost alive.

On our evening walk we ran into our neighbor Cress. He is a WWII veteran and has a stoop. He still drives his Subraru and occasionally needs a nap before parking in his tiny garage on the super narrow alley. He asked us to walk slowly with him and he gave us lessons in how to be a conversationalist even though he is nearly deaf. He is one humorous gentleman.
Have a great day.
Sending oodles of love,
Tawnia
