Sun-warmed blackberries

It was a foggy morning that turned into a glorious day. It's a little windy now. We hiked and dined on sun-warmed blackberries and ripe huckleberries. Then we came home and hung out at the house, and made a nice dinner at home. Life is good. Tomorrow is work. There are so many birds here!

Nice hike with lots of birds, about a 7-mile loop with only a short overlap at the start/end. Bear Valley, Wittenberg, Sky, Old Pine, lunch at Divide Meadow, and back on the Bear Valley trail to the trailhead.
Wild Gooseberries!
So much fog this year, much of the trail was muddy even though it hasn't rained in months.
Can you spot the Anna's Hummingbird?

Everyone is doing their part in taking apart the dead trees due to the 2020 Woodward fire.
Still many burned dead trees with life starting at their bases.
We think the green guy is Agapostemon Virescens (The thistle is not a bad look for him)
