Transitions

This morning, I worked until about 11:30, then we packed and left the house around 2 pm. It took an hour to get out of the city. Then we stopped by Gospel Flats for some veggies and arrived in Point Reyes a little after 4 pm. Whew, it felt like a lot of driving. Then we had a nice dinner at home: take-out chicken from Soulva and a salad with little gems, chicory, and peaches. Then a quick run to the store and a hike on the way back home, and here it is time to write.

We are staying at Bear Valley Cottage - you've all passed it on the way to Bear Valley - it's just outside of Olema. It's a sweet little cottage surrounded by trees and tons of birds in the yard. It's located just a few minutes by car from either Bear Valley Trailhead or downtown Point Reyes. It's also about a city block distance to Olema. So totally walkable.

It's amazing to be here, and the air is just so fresh and clean. It feels alive.
