Furballs and Reflections

Time change has really caught up with me, and I'm tired. The morning was cloudy, which turned into a sunny day. The birds were out in Oakland. Work went by fast, and I really like the little Thursday crew. This is the next-to-last Thursday Mission farmers' market, which is sad. The moon is still a complete stunner.

The official bird of Oakland is the Black-crowned Night Heron. There are decades of journalism dedicated to these gorgeous, funny birds. They've always felt a little like they are outposts of the mafia or something. Anyway, they moved from Lake Merritt to downtown, and I got to see three of them on my way home.
