Waypoint

It's Friday and a long weekend. It has been busy, and this is necessary, and yet this is just a point on our way. Today was a busy day, as I caught up at work. We went out to a local restaurant called Firefly this evening and had a lovely time.

I've been thinking a lot about the economy and just how many people it's not working for right now. This past year, I read several books by people who are starting to think about a different way that is not scarcity-based capitalism. There is so much to learn.

I'm so disappointed in the political apparatus right now. I don't have words for it. It's all just so messed up. ICE was created out of 9/11 and the fear that allowed so many terrible things to flourish.
