Birds and blueskies

It feels like spring has sprung. There are so many birds, even in the city. Picture-perfect little clouds, and the quality of the sky's blue is different. The air quality has been great, but my eyes are on fire from all the pollen.

Typical workday. Busy with little things, getting ready for the big things. It sure is nice that we get a long weekend to catch up on sleep and such things.

And for fun, Harold Fisk worked for the US Army Corps of Engineers and created the "Geological investigation of the alluvial valley of the lower Mississippi River" in 1944. He was also a cartographer and created these amazing plates. Here is an article showing a couple. And here someone has taken all of them and put them together in the shape of the river. Enjoy.
