Bluebirds!

Today was a good workday. Got things done, and the birds were out. Air quality was really poor, so I was wheezy; it got a little better as the day continued. The highlight was that bluebirds came to visit. It was 71° today. It felt like summer.

I'm reading a book about the food and the traditional recipes of people existing in war-torn and humanitarian crises, where food and cuisine knowledge gets lost when a generation or more is displaced, land taken away, or constantly under threat, so traditional dishes aren't made in the presence of children. Currently reading about the Rohingya.

There is a No Kings protest on March 28th, 2026. No excuses, there is plenty of time to plan.

7:09 am – 5:37 pm, which is 10 hours and 28 minutes of daylight. Just look at this. It's an actual normal day length. The sun is up around 7am, which means the sky is light at 6am, and it's up until 5:30, which means it's still light at 6:30. Life really is good.
