Today was very warm for San Francisco. The high was 75°, which felt sweltering after it had been so cold, and there was no breeze to make it feel cooler. It was a typical workday, catching up on things. One exciting work thing is that I'm starting to work with a Haitian translator. This is unbelievably cool. Many of our books are in Haitian Kreyol, but most have been worked on by people living outside of Haiti.

Also, the elephant seals up here are now getting infected with the lethal strain of bird flu. Previously, it was only those in Southern California.
