Point Reyes

Today I spent in Bear Valley and Point Reyes Station. December was a mess and so my friend arranged to go for a hike and have lunch to celebrate our December birthdays on International Women's Day. Hesperian gives us the day off, which is in lieu of another traditional holiday. Because the holiday fell on a Sunday, we got Monday off. Gretchen introduced me to Point Reyes and hiking there in 2003. She is now in her 80s and so I'm the designated driver. It's a good thing too because gas is nearly 6$ a gallon. Time for everyone to switch to an electric car. It took me an hour to charge and it cost $3.55 and I got a beautiful walk in on top of it. Last time we went together was before the pandemic and it as balm for the soul. Great to be together in nature.

There were many birds and different ones from in the summer making it special. Extra wonderful was that Pine siskins were EVERYWHERE.
