White-breasted nuthatch

Today was another insane day. There is just too much going on. We will get through this. We made cumin-lime cilantro shrimp and served it on cabbage with a squeeze of lime, along with homemade refried beans (with olive oil) and a salad to start. The shrimp recipe is amazing. I doubled the cumin, but the original is likely fine. Also, put in the whole bunch of chopped cilantro. It's almost like a vegetable that way, but I like the flavor punch.

The best thing about the workday was seeing a Spotted Towhee, which is another bird I associate with Mt. Tam and the scrub, but the staff were cleaning the yard and roused one out of next door. Also, the amazing sound of the White-breasted Nuthatch could be heard from the office!

Interesting things that caught my eye:

What if vaccines vanish? (wonderful presentation)

The bird of the day is the Green-tailed Towhee

Here is a poem for you.

Sending oodles of love,
