Taking pictures

It was hot today inside and outside the the office it was 80°. Tomorrow in Oakland they are expecting 86°. It's summer I guess, and it's an El Niño year. Fingers crossed we don't have a bad fire year. Here is some on El Niño from the World Economic Forum

I often am taking pictures as you might guess. I stop in the middle of the sidewalk to take a picture of a feather or some other thing. I take pictures of flowers from far away and up close. I've almost caused a bike wreck because the rider wanted to see what I'm seeing. People in cars are paying attention to what I'm seeing and I am getting honked at. I'm generally causing trouble and I want to say to everyone it's nothing, pay me no attention.

Short story by Thomas Wolfe from 1935 Only the Dead Know Brooklyn (PDF) (come on, it's only 3 pages!)
