Maine Event: Day 62

Today we cleaned the house, did some work on the app, and did cooking homework for my class. Somehow that feels a lot like a regular Sunday as I normally do cooking on Sunday to lessen the time cooking takes after work. We went for a couple walks around the neighborhood but largely had a restful day around the house. Soon we will be in the mode of wrapping things up here and getting ready to ship back to the other shore. I'm excited to be heading home and also already missing it here. 

Cooking class is really fun as it affirms some of my understanding, and also I'm learning new things. Also, I would never choose these recipes so it is taking me outside of my comfort zone.

As usual, we started our day by going to the garden to leave our compost. I have never lost my wonder and delight of food plants in a garden.

It looks like fennel but it is actually dill. Plants have a sense of humor too you know.

Halloween is a real sport here.

View at the end of Tate St. which is a sweet little one-block long street that is very narrow. The tree and house look much better in real life.

The leaf-less naked Green Ash is possibly more remarkable than with leaves.
