Maine Event: Day 61

Today was a quiet day. It rained most of the morning, then cleared up, and now it is raining again. We got a flu shot today in the morning and then walked down to the farmers market for some salad mix and apples. We ended up with some red sweet peppers in the bag too. Then I attended the board meeting while Matthew worked on the app. We are still trying to release this thing. Now aiming for a Sunday release. It's too late to feel confident about large code changes. So, Sunday it is.

We did manage a few walks during the day to look at the trees, birds, and bees. A warm front is coming through from the South and pushing the rain ahead of it. Supposedly it will get cool later in the week. It is definitely cooler than summer but not "cold" by any means. My weather app says the high was 68° and the low was 59° making it a warm day in SF. The only difference is that it has been raining for hours and it is warm. :)

On the cooking front: Once you start going down the pathway of making fermented foods it is a slippery slope. I've been reading about how to make miso and koji (this is outside of my secret plans). So much flavor and beauty. I have two vegetarian soups to make this week for cooking class (I'm skipping three other recipes because I don't have the kitchen tools here to make it happen).
