ME II: Color play
The weather here right now is almost identical to the usual in the SF Bay Area. It's in the high 60s and the low is around 52°. There is very little wind and it is kind of perfect for walking around. I suppose the cold weather will come back but for right now it's awfully nice. Today was a usual Tuesday, work is busy, nothing new there.
The election everywhere in 2022 is shaping up to be a doozy. There are two different referendums on the ballot here limiting short-term rentals. In this super tourist town, it will be interesting to see what happens. Here is an article about this but basically one is aimed at stopping corporate owners and absentee landowners from offering short-term rentals and the other is focused on charging a lower fee for owner-occupied short-term rentals and a higher fee for nonowner occupied.
I think this weekend I will be making sourdough rye bread in my itty-bitty kitchen. I'm super excited and Yorick my starter is too. Can I just say that I don't think I've ever been bored? There is just so much to do, see, learn, play, and so on.

I love nature and all it can share with you. I learn so much and am dazzled by the beauty.
Have a beautiful evening.
Sending love, Tawnia
Short bird list, but a new bird! (for me)
- Blue Jay
- House Sparrow
- European Starling
- Rock Pigeon
- Herring Gull
- Mourning Dove
- American Crow
- Black-capped Chickadee
- Blackburnian Warbler. A new bird for me – a female or immature bird. A small warbler, yellow on the head, white on the belly, showed yellow over a dark eye-stripe, dark back with 2 white wing bars.
