ME II: 4 days left
It was a gorgeous day today with perfect blue skies and warm sunshine. The low was 32° and the high was 58°. While 32° is freezing it is only a light freeze, the plants didn't seem fazed and I only saw frost on the roof of one house. The morning was quite chilly but during the day it was comfortable. I'm so grateful for our large radiators giving off just the right amount of heat. Today we had a quiet day and started the process of packing up. We got a couple of boxes early and had a nice walk. Then we commenced laundry, packing, cleaning the stove, sweeping, and other things. We also are engaging with voting! Have you voted yet? There are so many things to vote on, I suggest you start soon! Much research. We had a nice afternoon walk in the Western Cemetery and saw many small flocks of birds. Then in the evening Rosemary made Panang Curry and brought it over and we had dinner together and then went on an evening post-dinner walk together. Another friend (Thank you Rebecca!) sent me this article from the Guardian that goes into why it's so good to walk in the rain, wind, at night, after dinner... all things I love!
I have complicated feelings about this place. I love it here and I love being able to not worry about being able to breathe. I also miss all of you so much and I miss my tricked-out kitchen and I miss the food. I also really want to live in one single location. I'm such a homebody and being in two locations is unpleasant. Leaving is a little sad and I'm so looking forward to coming back all at the same time.
The fourth episode of Maine by the Mile is about all the way to the top of Maine where it meets Canada. Enjoy!

Have a beautiful evening.
Sending love, Tawnia
