ME II: countdown
Today was a lovely day. We woke up to rain which stopped just in time for us to go on an early morning walk downtown. Everything is so close here it feels like you can really "go" somewhere in a half an hour. The low was 46° and the high was 64°. The next few days ahead are predicted to get cooler but still nice. We had 3'' of rain yesterday and last night and the humidity remains close to 100% which feels delicious to me. Work is busy and there isn't so much to report there.
I've been learning yet there is so little about this place that I feel I know. The Wabanaki call the peninsula Machigonne which translates to the "great neck". The archeological evidence points to Native Americans arriving about 13,000 years ago. It was settled by English people in the 1630s.
