ME II: mini standing desk
Today started a little warmer and that trend will continue. The nights are now in the 40s and the days are in the high 50s to low 60s and forecasted the same. The predicted rain disappeared and the air has a less dry feeling. It was a busy workday as there are multiple large projects to move forward. Tomorrow I have the day free of meetings believe it or not and I'm going to try to move forward some App work. If I resurface I'll see if I can't support folks with Bloomerang set up. It really does take a village.
I've been working with my computer on an ottoman set on some National Geographic magazines so that it is higher than my chair. It is less than ideal for ergonomic reasons. I found this small standing desk that wasn't expensive and I'm giving that a try. I still prefer a monitor that is higher than my laptop screen but this is better than an ottoman so far.
In these parts, many of those making over $100K a year are lobster people. Right now there is a clash with the federal government over the protection of the Right Whales. Apparently, they are endangered and getting caught in nets. I'm pretty sure that a solution could be found if the two sides actually sat down and listened to each other and really made an effort to understand where the other side is coming from.
I've been thinking about my friendship with the Red Oak of Spring Street and how we need to think of the environment not so much as something we need to protect but as something that we are, and that by not respecting it and caring for it we are being self-destructive. There is so much life here so many more birds, plants, trees, and animals. So many teachers and so much to absorb.
