ME III: Island moon

Another workday and it was cool in the low 60s and 40% humidity with a breeze that meant I wore a lightweight coat for the first time. It looks like next week will be sunny and hot again but today it felt almost crisp and like Fall was around the corner. Work is heating up and whatever little bug I had is gone. We stopped work around 6 p.m. and caught the 7:15 ferry to Peaks. That is all to say that it got late. The wind meant all the beautiful boats were out and the super blue moon was yesterday but it still looked huge. It is also awe-inspiring to see the moon come up right over the horizon in this case the Atlantic. Gawd this place is beautiful.

Our standard early morning walk here has us walk on Summer St. where there is this Apple tree that leans over and offers up apples to all.

Last year I started to learn all the different kinds of boats which ones had three sails vs. two, which ones had tall ones in the front or the back - sorry to say I've forgotten it all but it sure is fun to see all the pretty sailing boats out on the water. Amazing what a little wind will do.

What a lovely way to watch the moon rise. We couldn't have planned it any better. Tomorrow is a busy workday and then a three-day weekend where we are hoping to get some other work done and also plan out some weekends of play.
