ME III: Strike a pose
Today was a busy day with more work on the website and cooking in advance of the heat wave next week. I really am learning how to cook and eat when it is hot since I'm virtually never hot at home. We took several little walks around the neighborhood and it seemed the birds were putting on a show. They were all posing by something that could be construed as their stereotype or maybe a stereotype in the making.

Tomorrow is Labor Day and while we at Hesperian celebrate Labor Day and also May 1 as International Workers' Day of Solidarity not everyone realizes the significance of May 1. Here is a short article on the background if you are unfamiliar. Modern life doesn't encourage remembering the history of the struggle or the workers who fought for 8-hour workdays and weekends inspiring a global movement for improved working conditions.
Have a great day off tomorrow.
Sending love, Tawnia
