ME III: foggy day

We woke up to ground-level fog and, while it lifted some in the middle, it was a foggy evening. Since in general, we are largely out morning and night, it felt like a completely foggy day. It's definitely getting cooler and we are expecting Tropical Storm Philippe on Saturday. Seems like a good day for rain and wind, maybe I'll get a chicken to put in the oven and I'll go to the board meeting to show off the new Safe Pregnancy and Birth app we just released. Then maybe on Sunday if it is not too stormy we will go to an island. I think the following weekend we are going to try to rent a car and go to the Central Maine Botanical Garden. Anyway, living in the future.

One thing I've been wondering about is where are all the bricks from. It turns out that the big brick makers are in Massachusetts but there are smaller operations in Maine. This article on the history of brickmaking in Maine shows that making bricks as a cottage industry used to be a regular thing here.
