ME III: last month

We are in the middle of way too much work and it is late so this will be short. First, though I want to lament that it is October and this trip has gone way too fast with multiple giant deadlines and too many nights and weekends attached to a computer.

It was hot today in the low 80s and then this evening it was like a warm summer night. Totally still and a little muggy and so warm. It's going to get cool to cold again very soon.

I have two articles to share with you, both from the Guardian, and both from colleagues today. The first is on cat people and what makes them that way. The second is another hit against the wild salmon population and covers an escape of thousands of Icelandic farmed salmon into the wilds with dire consequences.

I really think we need to somehow figure out how not to destroy what is left of the wild and take a step back and let it rewild.
