Subtle

There are so many things going on, and yet there are so few ways to engage. However, to pause, see, reflect, and accept the subtlety of life is where I am at. It's still foggy and dim in the city, and gloriously blue and sunny in Oakland. Sometimes it's good to go to work.

There are three of these on my current path to work
There are better views of this fabulous old church, but this gives you a sense of the scale of it. It's also my morning view of it.
Another find just on the street on my way to the office in amongst the wild urban space known as uptown Oakland
I feel these are almost like paper or birds or something other than what they are
The delights of working with words. I laughed until tears ran down my face.

YAY! It's fish night. Cook some shallots until they smell nice, add 1 Tbsp red Thai curry paste, 1.5 c. chicken stock, and a can of coconut milk, reduce by half. Add the halibut fillets and spoon the sauce over them. Cook for 5-6 minutes with the lid on. Add green onions, cilantro, and the juice of a lime. Served on cooked spinach. Delicious!
Passionfruit flowers on our evening walk
Just a lovely street to walk on.
The fog still lurks

Sending oodles of love,
