Fledglings and Friends
Today we ate breakfast and went up to Petaluma for an outing, since we are so close, and got some whole-grain seeded wheat bread. Then we went on a lovely precursor of a hike that goes from Bear Valley Trailhead to Limantour Road. It's also rather near the Olema Marsh Trailhead, where it comes out, so we're figuring out a way to get from Bear Valley almost to Point Reyes on foot. You'd think it would be easy, as it is less than a mile, but without sidewalks or even a shoulder on the road, it's rather tricky.
Then our dear friends Karl and Rebecca came up in the afternoon, and we went for a walk also. Then, after family check-in and dinner, we squeezed in an evening walk as the fog rolled in and dusk gathered.

The Osprey nest was quiet for two days, and we started to worry, did something eat it? Did it fall? Later, walking along, we heard its voice, and we think this is the fledgling youngster and the parent. Happy Ending!

Have a lovely and mysteriously wonderful day.
Sending oodles of love,
Tawnia
