Headache clearing

Today we laid pretty low. Plans with a friend got cancelled because high school is busy, and they had to go home early. That was all for the best, as I've been feeling the effects of the headache, which comes with nausea today. It is getting better, but it is exhausting. We went on a lovely walk in the morning with the Sunday morning crowd of hikers and runners.

Then we stayed in, lying in bed seemed to help my head, periodically getting up to read a book or briefly sit on the back deck and watch birds.

This evening, we saw two Pine Siskin parents feeding their youngster and cheering it on as it flew. There was much excitement, and we got to watch as they were teaching it to do the fancy, fast flying moves that Pine Siskins do.

We went on a brief evening walk after dinner and decided to turn around and come home when we saw a bat on the ground struggling to get airborne. It may have been sick or perhaps a young bat learning to fly. It was pretty small. There were many healthy bats of all sizes on the walk back.
