Foggy Beach Day

Today was our first full day in Stinson Beach. It was super foggy for nearly the whole day, clearing up very briefly around 4 pm. Work kept us busy all day - not too much to report there. We took a few quick walks and prepared a nice dinner of salad, fresh tomatoes, fresh cucumbers, steak, freekeh with cabbage and pepitas, and chard in lemon olive oil.

Our evening walk entails neighborhoods high up in Stinson Beach, and also part of the Matt Davis trail until it starts feeling dim in the forest. On our way back down in the large Eucalyptus on the edge of town, there was a loud, strange call which turned out to be a new call for us of the Great Horned Owl (not their who who who but almost like a hiss)! We also saw seals and dolphins. Then, sitting inside writing this, we heard a Barn Owl!

This is the view a few steps down a drive - many fishing boats
The Promise Land
Many Heerman gulls, which we rarely see here and never in such great numbers! They are smaller than our two usual suspects and dark all over.
Thinking ahead!

The deer aren't as invisible as in Bear Valley but not bad I'd say.
Troll bridge - send me your riddles!
Brown Pelicans (Pelecanus occidentalis)

Have a mysterious day, it is waiting out there for you to grab it.

Sending oodles of love,
