Marigolds
I love that marigolds are placed to guide the dead back to the family home or to the ofrenda altar. They are everywhere here and being carted around by the armfuls. To have a flower that is so bright and pungent makes perfect sense. They are also excellent companion plants for vegetables like tomatoes, cucumbers, squash, and potatoes because they repel pests and attract pollinators.
Today was a normal workday. I ran some errands at the end of the day. Saw Katie and she sends her love. Went to the Thursday Farmer's Market for a few veggies and made a nice dinner.

Have a splendid day. ❤️
