Today was 80° in Oakland, and the birds were out. It seems everyone is super tired and out of it due to the seasonal change. One day it's cold and rainy, and the next day it's hot and sunny. It was a usual busy workday.

I'm still thinking about Jamaica. Worst/Most Powerful Hurricane with winds of 185 mph in the Atlantic ever! This is stronger than Hurricane Katrina on a tiny island. I simply can't imagine.

Perhaps it's time to review the FEMA map to assess our risk. These are also important because they influence insurance. At this moment in time, it feels like insurance is a complete scam, but understanding risk feels smart.
