Today we had a very fun and busy morning. (Reminds me of Recuerdo by Edna St. Vincent Millay). I went to one Farmer's Market and Matt went to another. It started raining while we were out, and it sent people scurrying under the vegetable tents. It made for a lovely market but a difficult shopping environment since it was hard to get into the stalls, but very easy to walk around. Then we hopped into the Spider Mite and went across town to go to one of our favorite farms that occasionally does pop-ups. There we got some Meyer lemons, peppers, basil, and a few tomatoes.

Right when we got home, we needed to leave and catch the J Church Metro for our monthly lunch date with Karl and Rebecca. This time, we met up at Zuni as a treat. Then we walked home and were tired.

Some messages need repeating. As I passed Valencia Farmer's Market on the corner, the employees were arriving, and someone had broken the door overnight 😡

This is on top of a van/bus (obviously, where people live), such a delight in this sort of forgotten cathedral of a place with these giant columns holding up the 280. This is over by the CalTrain station on 22nd.

At the Farmer's Market, I talked to many strangers. Maine taught me that I don't mind getting wet in a rainstorm, and this astounds people, so I get to talk to them.

Get in some good trouble. Talk to strangers. This political moment demands it. So many people are isolated and fearful of many things. We get out of that by talking and creating community.
