Winter is coming

It was downright chilly today, and not only do I need my coat, but a scarf too! The air quality is still bad. The evening was better than the morning, so that is something. The Chronicle said it's the coldest day in November in six years. Normally, I wouldn't say the 50s are all that cold, but it's damp and chilly with little breezes that come through your zippers and loose sleeves. It feels colder than the 30s in Maine in November. I don't understand.

Today, I got a chance to chat with my friend Paula. Otherwise, we cooked and hung out, and relaxed. Went for a few walks around the neighborhood, including a walk down Valencia to see what was there. So nice to have a day completely off.

Has it been bad or is it catching a ride?

I'm distressed about the reaction against Afghans because one of them had a mental health crisis and killed an individual. I'm so sorry for the loss of life, but turning mental illness into prejudice against an entire people is not helpful.

Here is a poem for you.

Sending oodles of love,
