Thanksgiving 2025
The city was QUIET. In the morning, there were a few cars. There is plenty of parking everywhere. On our evening walk, there were only a few dog walkers and us. I think that largely everyone in SF leaves for Thanksgiving to go to other places, where there are family or friends with larger houses.
It is officially chilly, and I've moved from a vest to a coat. Indoors, it was in the low 60s! Brrrrr. There is a little breeze, but not enough to clean the air. It's thick with our own gunk from stinky cars and such. Airnow says wildfire smoke and an inversion layer, but there aren't any big wildfires that I know of. It was a Spare the Air day, and probably fewer cars because everyone is away. It took us less than 25 minutes to reach home today, and normally it's about 45.
We spent the day in the East Bay with family. Packed up our contribution and headed over midday. Left for home in the dark. Boy, it gets dark early these days! Good to be together.
