Advent of advent
Welcome to December, where life becomes a blur, regardless of what you celebrate or what you don't. Today still felt like some people were not back on their regular commute. Work was busy with grants and meetings. The days are so short that I'm leaving a few minutes early, as I don't like walking alone in the dark in Oakland. Air quality sucks, and it looks like it's endless.
Here is a special report from the Guardian on AI (what bubble?!)

I keep reading about how solar and wind are driving up costs. However, this is clearly accounting trickery. It's billions of dollars to set up a new oil or gas operation and it's not just getting it out of the ground but refining. All of that is far more expensive than the set up costs of a new wind or solar system. And right now there are new gas and oil permits being handed out right and left. Clearly something is fishy.
Have a great night.
Sending oodles of love,
Tawnia
