Mackerel
Well, first, I like to eat mackerel. YUM. And I often am heard to say Holy Mackerel, which recently, when I quipped that to a friend, she said I could send you a tin of mackerel!
Today, the clouds put on a show, and the light was magical. The clouds also include what I always called fishbone clouds, but I learned that they are called "a mackerel sky." What cloud idioms did you grow up with? We are on the edge of 8 days of rain. I'm so excited!
We finished the last part of "Prohibition," a PBS series by Ken Burns. There were many fun things to learn about, but also many strong women are portrayed. Also, one of the magic things was listening to the New York accent. It's almost gone, I think. I wonder if they need to start teaching it? What's happened?
Here is a recently posted video on the Maine accent by Maine Public

I hope you are sleeping well in these long, cold nights we are having. Soon, the return of light.

Sending oodles of love,
