Protest day!
Today was the "national shutdown". We already have so much oppression and marginalization that it is challenging to organize a successful general strike in the United States. Because I work at a small nonprofit that works for liberation every day, but because I'm behind on work, I did not take the whole day off, however I did leave midday to attend the protest in Dolores Park. This protest was happening across the country. Here Mission Local has an article about businesses that closed in solidarity. Here are some better photos of the protest (I was at a different angle).
While ICE is capturing our attention. There is much going on that is an abomination to the well-being of humans and all of life. Here are a couple of things that caught my attention:
- Reopening oil drilling off the coast in California despite the disaster in the 1960s.
- Loosening nuclear safety rules.

7:15 am – 5:31 pm, which is 10 hours and 16 minutes of daylight.
Sending oodles of love,
