Wolf Moon

Today was tremendously spring-like with fresh, extravagant clouds. The plants are so joyous and happy with the rainwater and a little bit of sun. Today is the Full Wolf Moon, so named because it is a hungry month for most animals, and wolves are drawn closer to humans, howling as they search for food and communicate with one another about the location of their delicious prey.

Today is also 13 days after the winter solstice, making it a special day. It's the day when, after reducing my intentions (scraps of paper with a resolution) without looking, I'm left with the one. It says that next year this time our house will be less full.

We have too many things in our small flat, and decluttering and removing unwanted things is to take place. I'm breaking it down into manageable actions as measured by the new moon. So, for example, by the new moon, I will have cleaned out the "mudroom" (also known as the tiny room just before you exit the back door).

Today we got up at a normal time, and I headed down to the farmer's market in the rain. It was lovely because it kept most people at home. That said, the indoor part was overwhelming. Later, we cooked, and I started on my annual intention.

Rainy, damp start to the day
Puddles
After the morning rain, dramatic clouds and BLUE sky!
Puddles!
I love that they say GONG on the exits and entrances. Not Trill - the sound the metros make. Gong reminds me of dinner.
Look at the vibrant, almost neon green median.
Puddles!

It rained on our evening walk, even though it said no rain for 3 hours, totally amazingly lucky.
Good Night beautiful moon.

King Tides + storm surge are flooding all around the Bay Area in low-lying areas. Here are a few great photos from West Marin.

Here is a poem for you.

Sending oodles of love,
