Today was a relatively quiet day, catching up on things. We did a car errand in the morning that resulted in an almond croissant. Later on, our dear friend Dorothy visited from the East Coast, and we got a chance to catch up. Sweet afternoon. Then made a nice dinner. We have been following the instructions on the door to our oven. It's wonderful to learn how to cook things at such low temperatures. The old Wedgewood knows a thing or two.

XO Sauce is named after fine XO (extra-old) cognac, a popular drink in Hong Kong. However, the sauce contains no cognac. I'd call that slick marketing. Here is more.
