walking in the rain (again)
Today was a typical day in the office. Several meetings and got some work done. At the end of the day, we had a goodbye party for a colleague. It was a low-key indoor thing with veggies and hummus, etc. Then at home, it was FISH night, and we had the first of the season halibut, which was amazing and riffed off this recipe. Then went for a walk in the rain. Suddenly, it got late. The commute takes a full hour and costs about $10. Partying meant I left work late, and then made dinner, and whoops, it's late.
Here is some good news on the shifts toward cleaner energy.
Electric planes, well, the research started in the 1940s, but there were too many incentives around developing for fossil fuels. Look who is showing up with the first electric planes. Go Hawaii!
And a beautiful article by Rebecca Solnit on the importance of protest and the case for showing up. (Thanks, Rebecca A.!)
