Peaks day 14

Today has been mostly getting ready to leave. We check out of our place tomorrow no later than 10am and our flight leaves at 6:02pm. The plan is we will galavant around an island and leave our stuff at our friend's house. We wrapped up our storage cupboard and this morning shipped back the belongings we wanted to keep. It's lovely to be living on top of Peaks Island USPS for shipping packages at least. Then we have the beginnings of packing the remainder but it's very little as we came with very little and much of it we will use in the morning and then wrap up.

Had a nice dinner at the Cockeyed Gull (the local to Peaks Island year round restaurant run by a family of Korean folks) and had a brief walk to the boat ramp and now it's time to finish packing.

Note: this blog will be taking an extended pause.

Very nice garden built on top and within a large rock.
This is the cutest fishing boat in Casco Bay. It's name is Emma Rae
We are a little pink from the heat but also we are under a red umbrella making us look a little extra red.
Bartender had a nice hat
These long flowered gowns with a wide ruffle at the bottom many here are brighter than this one reminds me of the 70s garb!

5:09 am – 8:23 pm, which is 15 hours and 14 minutes of daylight (such loooong days of full sunshine!)

The bird of the day is the Townsend's Warbler

Here is a poem for you.

Sending love from Maine,

Tawnia
