Peaks day 13

· Maine Event

Today was very warm and muggy. Especially in the afternoon. Simple day: We went for a nice forest morning walk. Had a nice lunch. Went for another walk although it was hot. Came home and cooled off and cooked nearly everything in the house and served it on top of a lime juice and zest dressed cabbage salad a few noodles topped with all the vegetables we had left. I think this is the closest we've ever come to using up all our food. Tomorrow if our last full day.

Around 6pm we took the ferry to Portland and walked up to give Rosemary some jars that we had here in our storage cupboard along with a square of tofu, some shredded cabbage (she has a broken dominant wrist and in a cast) and some ramen noodles. Then we walked to see my friend the Red Oak and also Little Sprite. Made a stop by Rosemont Market for some fruit for breakfast on Saturday. Walked quickly downhill to the ferry and caught the 8pm home. It was cooler but still muggy and hot . Very nice on the top deck of the ferry with a lovely breeze on the Casco Bay.
