Peaks day 6

Today is a heatwave and tomorrow we will still be in it. We had a slow morning and defying things went on a walk and looked for birds in the interior of the island. It's lovely and magical there. Then we came back to cool off and have lunch and have been kicking around inside largely for the afternoon. We watched Lunchbox which was fun and a perfect hot afternoon action to take. In the evening we will run to town to shop as everything will largely be closed on July 4th.

This motorbike deserves a story. It is often seen with a stout gray haired lady about our age dressed in a pink moo-moo style dress with little red flowers wearing a sun hat smiling joyously racing around on this thing dress billowing. (I'm too shy to take her picture)
Making beautiful hard boiled eggs for hot mornings.
The sun at 7:45 is still astoundingly strong.
Evening run to the coop to ensure that we have food for the next few days when it's closed for the holiday.

The ferry on a hot night is incredibly pleasurable. Just the right amount of cool breezes and none of that piercing sun and the stars were out.

Late breaking we had thunder and lightning and a rain/wind storm!

5:03 am – 8:26 pm, which is 15 hours and 22 minutes of daylight (seems like more on days like this)
