Peaks day 8

Happy 4th of July, 2026. The experiment continues and at 250 years we are just as likely to have serious problems as years 1-20. It's Saturday and so we got up and caught the 8:15 ferry to town and walked to Deering Oaks Park to catch the farmer's market. Got a few things like lettuce and asparagus. We got there too late for any berries. The heatwave is over and it's much cooler today but low 80s and muggy is still hot. Tonight it's supposed to get down to the mid-60s which will set the system back to normal I expect. I still remember the first time in NYC when it rained and it became even hotter and more muggy. I was astounded as rain always cools things in the West.

We had Rosemary over for dinner, a walk and viewing of fireworks that are to be set off on the East End neighborhood of Portland that we look at from our deck. It's starting to get cool 70° now and the night promises to be in the 60s again! YAY.

This whole day was over the top.

Harbor Seal aka Sea Dawgs (same genus species as ours but different subspecies and different color we have more iron and selenium which makes their coats more red)
